Part 2: Poetic Style

Hello, happy writers! Welcome to Part 2 of the Nature Poetry Workshop.

Please make sure that you download and print the Poetic Style Activity Sheet and the Onomatopoeia Word List before you begin the video.

Page 3 of the Poetic Style Activity Sheet is a guide for your parent, teacher, or caregiver to help you if you need it. Please do not read over that page until after you have finished the activity on page 2.

Take Note: You will be defining some terms in this lesson. The poetic style terms are defined in the video. You can take notes as you go or fill out the definitions at the end of that section.

The unfamiliar vocabulary words found in the poem should be defined using a dictionary. I prefer the old-school method to dictionary.com, but your source is up to you. Looking up words in a legit dictionary helps to grow your vocabulary. You never know what interesting words you may find on the way to the one you're looking for!

If you have any questions, feel free to email me or leave a comment in the comment section at the bottom of this page. My email address is [email protected].

Happy writing!
